It's all about the song
BUCK BROWN playing "Loretta"

Here is one of the best guitar players I have met in Nashville. I was going to the Back Alley Diner in downtown Nashville one evening to see a guy named Johnathan New. I was looking for people to play my NashvilleEar.com Songwriter Stage held each week at the Gibson Fontanel stage. I needed a few more songwriters to fill out the schedule for a few weeks in the future. Jonathan was really good so I scheduled him for a show the following month.
I was sitting in the back of the bar by myself just listening to the different songwriters do their sets with a beer when Buck walked up and sat down. He told me that he was up next and was just going to be there a while. We talked for a bit , I found him to be an extremely interesting guy. After seeing his set I was very impressed with his skills as well as the lyrics to his songs are great. I asked him to do a full hour set at the Bost Harley Davidson venue. It was one of the best shows I have had the honor to be a part of. Buck is a true professional singer/songwriter in every sense of the word.
This video is Buck Brown playing one of my personal favorite songs that he had written. The song is named "Loretta" . He played this song for us one Saturday evening at the Pavilion Coffee House.
Buck has a way with his guitar where he seems to become one with the instrument as he plays. You can feel when he is playing that he is emotionally into his music. He is a very smooth & technically perfect guitarist.
A session player here in Nashville would say "He plays clean". Buck also wrote the lyrics to this story of caution and temptation. I would like to hear the actual story that inspired this tale of danger..
