It's all about the song
Angie Keilhauer
My story starts all the way in San Salvador, El Salvador, where I was born. Having moved to Marietta, GA though when I was 11 years old, that’s where I call home. I’ve always LOVED country music as long as I can remember thanks to my mom’s obsession with Dolly Parton records! In high school, she bought me my first guitar and I started playing anywhere and everywhere that would let me.
Fast-forward and I went to college for Biology for two years while working full- time as a Ford Mustang Parts dealer at a place called Prestige Mustang. Although cars will always be a big passion of mine (check out my second YouTube channel: Angie DIY), at the end of my second year I quit both of those things to go sing on a cruise ship! Working for Carnival Cruise lines changed my life! I met so many people and friends from all over the world and was able to build enough support to go on three national tours.
Recently on March 1st, I was lucky enough to audition for Season 10 of The Voice! I managed to get three chairs to turn and ended up partnering with the great Blake Shelton all the way until the knockout rounds! With that whirlwind of inspiration behind me, I released my very first full-band project: “Wild”. The seven-track EP was entirely funded by two straight years of nonstop touring across the country. The night it was set to drop on July 24th I was literally shaking I was so nervous. My life savings was in that thing! Within TWO HOURS ya’ll took it to #5. I cried.
In the past three years, I’ve travelled and played far more than I could have ever dreamed. By far though, the best part of all of it has been getting to know so many of you! Everyday, I wake up knowing I get to do what I love because YOU let me. Yes, you. Reading this right now. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me and listen to my music. It means more to me than you could ever imagine.
