It's all about the song
Doc Holladay
Voted as one of the top three singer/songwriters in Nashville 4 years running in the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 Nashville Scene "Best Of Nashville" readers poll, Doc Holladay has become one of the most in-demand talents around, while also managing to work as a full time Optometrist.
While primarily a country writer, he can also be found working and writing with pop stars such as "Tiffany", Southern Rock icon Jimmie Van Zant, and even with members of legendary rock groups such as Cinderella, Warrant, Tesla, The Babys, and other top acts and producers all around the world. Doc has had over 30 song cuts over the last 3 years in the U.S., Sweden, Canada, Australia, and Ireland.
Doc's latest cuts include "I've Got You," recorded by top Swedish country artist and actress Christina Lindberg (released on Warner Music in Europe) and "Small Town Marilyn Monroe,” recorded by former NHL hockey pro turned country singer on Warner Music, Chris Lindberg (which just charted at #1 in Sweden.) Another cut, "I Get Back Up,” was just recorded by Australian sensation and 2015 Golden Guitar Award "New Artist of the Year" winner, Christie Lamb on ABC Records, as well as being the lyricist and vocalist for a Swedish TV ad campaign for the "Diner 45" restaurant chain.
Yet another single with the rock band Syndrome of Fire recently charted in the top 20 on Billboard.” Doc has shared the stage with acts such as Brad Paisley, Pam Tillis, Jimmie Van Zant, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Trick Pony, Charlie Daniels, Nickle Creek, Tiffany, Sweethearts of The Rodeo, Tim McGraw, and Buddy Jewell, just to name a few.
In addition, he created and ran "Doc Holladay Songwriter Series" between 2011-2014, which was a quarterly series of benefit shows featuring some of the best writers and performers in Nashville and beyond. Doc has also been in high demand as a producer lately, with a particular focus on vocal production.
He routinely plays at the famous Bluebird Cafe, regularly does high profile corporate showcases and team building shows, and also loves to share his story and music about recovery from addiction at various drug and alcohol treatment centers, retreats and conventions around the country. In fact, Doc was recently scheduled to speak and perform in Reno, NV to kick off the next International Doctors In Alcoholics Anonymous (IDAA) convention in 2018.
To quote rock superstar Jon Bon Jovi, Doc's music is simply "good stuff!”
