Jim Huish
Jim Huish grew up in Orem, Utah. At a young age, he learned to sing & play piano from his father, Al Huish, a professional piano player & music teacher. At 12 years old, Jim began studying the drums and started sitting in with the Al Huish Band as a teenager. In college, Jim studied voice and guitar at Dixie State College, earning an Associate Degree. He then served a 2-year, Japanese-speaking LDS mission to Tokyo, Japan. After returning home, Jim continued studying music, as well as pursuing his education at Southern Utah University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a Music Minor. He then spent 5 years teaching elementary school music and became a member of the Lehi Arts Council, where he directed the Lehi Youth Chorus, Orchestra, & Guitar Ensemble. Jim is now an active singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist in Nashville, Tennessee.
Performing: Jim Huish has performed for thousands of people in many big cities, including Los Angeles, Tokyo, Denver, Salt Lake City, Tucson, Cleveland, & Nashville. Alone, or as a member of Amber's Drive, he has opened for chart-toppers Restless Heart, Sam Hunt, Little Texas, The Gatlin Brothers, Trick Pony, Tom Keifer (from Cinderella), & Kip Winger (Winger).
